Perrin Hastings (she/they) is an Aotearoa-based director, writer, presenter, animator, and co-creator of The Gender Agenda.

As a trans woman, Perrin strives for diversity, both in storytelling and project type. As well as The Gender Agenda seasons 1 & 2, recent screen projects include BBC series Tiny Wonders, Moe & Friends, The Poo Files, The Vloggingtons and Dating While Asian. Perrin’s work on The Gender Agenda series one was recently recognised with a nomination for Best Host of an NZ Factual Series at NZ Web Fest 2025
