Sheldene Seth is the Communications & Engagement Manager at Able - Aotearoa’s leading provider of media access services, including captioning and audio description.
With over a decade in Aotearoa’s screen industry, Sheldene has worked as a director, producer, and writer across children’s television, factual programming, and digital media.
Sheldene's career began writing and directing children’s show Sticky TV before moving into documentary and factual programming exploring health, disability, and everyday New Zealand stories. She later produced digital content for TVNZ’s newsroom and a range of commercial and corporate productions at Chillbox Creative.
Now in the media access space, Sheldene brings her storytelling instincts to accessibility - most recently through Able’s first web series, Sight Unseen, which centres blind and low-vision rangatahi and integrates open audio description.
Sheldene is the producer and facilitator for the "Hook, Hold, Repeat: capturing rangatahi attention online" session at the 30th Spada Conference.
