Kevin Denholm

Film Chaplain & Director

Kevin Denholm is the owner and director of Exposure International, an Auckland-based production company. For over three decades he has directed award-winning commercials and branded content, including work with Sir John Kirwan and the Ministry of Health on the Like Minds, Like Mine mental-health initiative.

Beyond advertising, Kevin has spent more than 30 years creating people-centred documentaries that explore the human condition, filming in some of the world’s most confronting environments - from prisons and conflict zones to Rwanda, where he documented the genocide firsthand. Having witnessed the pressures of life on set, Kevin began supporting cast and crew during COVID-19, revealing a deep need for care within the industry. Now armed with a Master’s degree in Chaplaincy and completing a PhD at the University of Otago, he leads the FilmChaplain initiative, offering calm, compassionate support to those working both behind and in front of the camera.

Kevin joins the Everyday Wellbeing for Producers: What Works and What’s Next panel discussion at the 30th Spada Conference.
