Miranda Rivers is a New Zealand Casting Director and accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor with over 30 years in the screen industry. 

Her extensive credits span award-winning local and international productions. Highlights include the Avatar sequels, the M3GAN films, Predator: Badlands, Moss & Freud, Bookworm, Juniper, Daffodils, The Hobbit trilogy, and The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Passionate about improving mental health outcomes in Aotearoa’s screen sector, Miranda has led national discussions and trained industry professionals as certified Mental Health First Aiders. She continues to advocate for open, stigma-free conversations around wellbeing - balancing her commitment to mental health with her enduring passion for storytelling through Casting.

Miranda is a co-facilitator for the Everyday Wellbeing for Producers: What Works and What’s Next panel discussion at the 30th Spada Conference.
