PRODUCER SCHOLARSHIP 30th Spada Conference / 20-21 November 2025 The Pullman Hotel, Auckland
Spada is delighted to offer FIVE PRODUCER SCHOLARSHIPS to attend the 30th Spada Conference, to be held Thursday 20 & Friday 21 November 2025, at The Pullman Hotel, Auckland.
Recipients will benefit from the opportunity to connect with others in the scholarship cohort, and attend the two-day screen industry conference alongside producers, commissioners, funders, and the broader screen sector.
Each Producer Scholarship* includes a full registration to the two-day 30th Spada Conference, including tickets to the 27th Annual Spada Screen Industry Awards and the Opening Night Cocktail Function, taking place on Thursday the 20th of November from 5:00 PM.
*The Scholarship does not cover travel or accommodation costs.
Application Criteria To be eligible for one of the five scholarships you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Producer Credits: one or more credits as lead producer on a completed screen project, and at least one project in development
- You must be available to attend the full two-day 30th Spada Conference (including the 27th Annual Spada Screen Industry Awards and Opening Night Cocktail Function (5.00-7.30PM Thursday 20 November).
- Applications are open to producers, with priority given to producers from underrepresented communities (defined as: Māori, Pacific peoples, Asian communities, MELAA (Middle Eastern, Latin American and African), women, gender diverse, LGBTQIA+ communities, people with a disability, regional communities (defined for the purposes of the New Zealand screen sector as those outside of Auckland and Wellington), people below the age of 30 and people above the age of 60)
Application Material A 500-word (max) statement detailing how you align with the scholarship criteria; why you want to attend the 2025 Spada Conference; how attendance will contribute to the development of your career; and your current project/s (including brief details of project/s in development).
Volunteers will be required to support delivery of the 30th Spada Conference. Please indicate your willingness to volunteer, should your application be unsuccessful.
