Independent Producer - Cable Maiden Productions

Based between Ōtautahi and Tāmaki Makaurau, Jess is an independent producer who has been working across the media industry in Aotearoa and the UK for a decade. 

Jess has produced short documentaries ‘I Stand For Consent’, funded as part of Someday Stories 7, and ‘The Man Outside’ as part of Loading Docs 10. She recently produced ‘The Sender’, an NZOA-funded teen drama web series that has already amassed 1m+ views across its platforms and been accepted into numerous festivals. 

Jess has produced music videos, including ‘The Barrel’ for Aldous Harding and ‘Aua Atu Rā’ and ‘Rere Mai Ngā Rau’ from Marlon Williams’s latest album, with ‘Aua Atu Rā’ recently winning Best Music Video at Show Me Shorts 2025.

Alongside this, Jess has also worked in the media industry in London, most recently as a Production Executive for Sky UK, managing a slate of 30 shows across unscripted commissioning.
