Jana Te Nahu Owen's (Ngāti Kahungunu, Te Āti Awa) career spans audio engineer, music critic, producer, and commissioner.

Jana's roles at RNZ have included six years in operations and as a Producer for Music 101, before being appointed RNZ’s Māori Commissioner in 2023, where Jana is tasked with sourcing, commissioning, developing, and publishing Māori content.

As Commissioner for Māori at RNZ, Jana joins the Commissioner's Roundtable at the 30th Spada Conference
