Filmmaker/Someday Storyteller

Mia is a Filipino-born filmmaker whose work has gone on to screen at both local and international festivals. She wrote and directed Foodie as part of the Someday Stories initiative and her web series pilot The Year of Yes was a finalist for the TVNZ New Blood web series competition this year. She loves to bring her unique perspective into her creative endeavours, mingling tales from her past with the realities of her present as a writer, director, and, more recently, producer. Though more comfortable behind the camera than in front of it, Mia is always excited to jump into bold new creative pursuits.
