UK/NZ Co-Production Nominated For Two BAFTAS
2005-03-29NOT ONLY, BUT ALWAYS, a UK telefeature made for Channel 4 UKTV about the life and times of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, has been nominated for two BAFTAS - Best Single Drama and Best Actor (for Rhys Ifan's performance as Peter Cook).
The telefeature was shot in and around Auckland over six weeks during March/April 2004. The film spanned three decades and the locations shot included London, Cambridge, Devon, Mallorca Spain, LA, New York and the West Indies. It was brought to New Zealand by co-producer Angela Littlejohn and made through her production company Little Ed Films Ltd.
It featured over 50 New Zealand actors including Jodie Rimmer who played Wendy, Peter Cook’s first wife. Other actors who had roles in the film were Josephine Davison, John Sumner, Alistair Browning, Adam Gardiner, John Leigh, Brett O’Gorman, Louise Wallace and Tandi Wright.
The majority of all crew were New Zealanders including, NZ Co-Producer - Angela Littlejohn, Line Producer –Susan Parker, Casting Director – Diana Rowan, Costume Designer – Barbara Darragh, Make Up Designer – Debra East and 1st Assistant Director – Axel Paton.
