SARA GEATER
Head of Business Affairs, Channel 4

Sara Geater
has been with Channel 4 since April 2004.
Sara joined Channel 4 after just over three years at the BBC as Director of Rights and Business Affairs, having been Head of Film and TV at Avalon. Before this, Sara worked in the film industry as Head of Production at HAL/Miramax Films, prior to which she was Production Exec for Drama and Film at Channel 4 first time around. She has also been a film producer for Cannon Films and a freelance Line Producer working in both film and TV programmes.
Sara is a barrister, a Fellow of the RSA and she has recently qualified as a mediator.
She is on the board of BAFTA Management Ltd and sits on the BAFTA Council. She also is on the Executive of the BSG (Broadband Stakeholder Group the government’s key advisory group on Broadband). She is a member of The Thinking Women’s Network and on the Advisory Board of Creative Commons in the
UK
.
For fun she spends time with her family and friends, cooking, eating, drinking and goes flying in small planes!
