Michelle Krumm is Executive Vice President and Co- head of Acquisitions and Co- Productions at The Weinstein Company. She oversees the staff in LA, NY and in
Asia
. In her role she is responsible for covering The United States,
Canada
, Asia and
Australia
tracking independent projects in production, looking at completed independents, and looking for pre-buy and co-production packages for both TWC and Dimension Films. She also attends and covers film festivals, markets and screenings looking for product for theatrical, video, television, scouting for new talent, and remake ideas. She coordinates with the marketing, publicity, post production, music and home video and television departments to oversee all aspects of the films she acquires. Prior to joining The Weinstein Company on October 1, 2005, she was at Miramax films for 9 years.
In an acquisition capacity at Miramax Films she was responsible for the acquisitions of BLUE CAR, BUFFALO SOLDIERS, STATION AGENT, DYSFUNKTIONAL FAMILY,
GARDEN
STATE
, and HOSTAGE.
At TWC she bought, THE MATADOR, LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN, and
WOLF
CREEK
. She has recently picked up and is currently overseeing the post production on FACTORY GIRL, BOBBY, MISS POTTER, THE PROTECTOR, FAST TRACK. In a production capacity she is currently overseeing OUTLANDER.
