SPADA AWARDS 2006

SPADA Conference hosts there unique key inudstry awards: SPADA New Filmmaker of the Year Award, SPADA Independent Producer of the Year Award, SPADA/Onfilm Industry Champion Award.

The SPADA awards acknowledge innovation and honour excellence in the industry and winners will be unveiled at the awards presentation during the TVNZ Big Dinner on Friday 17 November.

You do not have to be registered for conference to enter or be nominated for SPADA Awards.

New Filmmaker of the Year Award (entries closed)

Awarded to Roseanne Liang in 2005

This Award is the primary recognition in New Zealand for emerging filmmakers who have displayed special talent, excellence and creativity in their filmmaking to date. The prize package comprises $10,000 of principal sponsor Park Road Post post-production services, $10,000 Panavision equipment rental $4,000 cash from FACB, $2,500 Kodak film stock, SKYCITY Cinemas Gold Card and travel from Stage & Screen Travel. Independent Producer of the Year Award (entries closed)

Awarded to Elizabeth Mitchell in 2005

This Award recognises an independent producer who has made a significant contribution in the last year towards the growth, development and promotion of the independent screen production industry. More

Industry Champion of the Year Award (entires closed)

Awarded to Dave Gibson in 2005

The SPADA/Onfilm industry champion award was created eight years ago to recognise a leading industry figure or organisation who has demonstrated passion and professionalism in making a significant contribution to the production industry. More
